Broken Heart2239 viewsMaybe this falls should be renamed "Broken Heart". The pothole forms the shape of a heart, broken by the creek entering and leaving it.Jul 04, 2012

Water Cave2188 viewsSteele Creek goes under this big rock, forming a foam whirlpool.
Views from this vantage point are the reason I give Steel reek Falls a *** rating. Note the rope on the rock. This is a very slick area so use the rope to hold on.
This little area can definitely clean your family gene pool.Jul 04, 2012

Bottom Of Bowl2144 viewsThe bottom of South Harpers Creek Falls takes on the appearance of a giant stone bowl with one side torn out by nature.
Due to the steep descent to this area I rated it a *** (3) in difficulty. Not a place to go in wet weather.Jun 27, 2012

ViewFrom Bottom2080 viewsFrom the bottom of lower falls. Falls comes in from top right of photo and does a sharp left turn to escape down the gorge.
Note the "cave" in center of photo.
From this point to top of rock wall measures 270 ft.

Ol' Swimming Hole1708 viewsBeing near Tennessee Tech University it is welll used as a swimming hole. I don't know of any better. Deep hole at bottom with a diving platform of eight feet.
BTW, if you are incapable of logical decisions, the State Park Service provided a Ranger to make them for you. Don't be the Dummy that everyone speaks of in past tense .Jun 25, 2012

On High1633 viewsDon't let the description of 50 ft fool you. From this point it is abut 150 ft to the river level below but, the trail down in excellent.
With a little exploring and milling around plan on a four mile hike. Jun 25, 2012

Northern Rough Winged Swallow2388 viewsDue to the easy access of the nest I will not disclose it's location.
I believe this to be as identified but, if you know it to be another bird please, let me know.Jun 25, 2012
