Al alternate route, up the right side of the creek is not really an alternative unless you have a fondness for Laurel bushes, steep slopes, and leaf covered rock.

Welcome To Tennesse2442 viewsIf you happen to be traveling North on I-26 and have just entered Tennessee, stop at the very first Rest Stop and Welcome center. Just across the Interstate is Clear Branch Falls.
Go under I-26 and turn right at the stop sign. Proceed past the Church and as you descend down the hill keep a lookout on your left. Just past the last house is Clear Branch Falls (upper). After that keep an eye out and you will see Clear Branch Falls (lower)

Wood Snake?2441 viewsNo such thing as a Wood Snake? Maybe a Copper Head, quiet common around here?? So, don't zoom in or enlarge the photo, make a guess what type snake this is.
Is too a Wood Snake.......... Zoom in and see. What the hay, I thought it was a snake and I was there with it, just below Lower Clear Branch Falls. Started to whack it with the Roaming Knob buuuut, nobody was looking so i just kind of eased on out.
Should have stopped right there, but this was too good to keep to myself.
