Falls and Cascdes1762 viewsThe only difficult part of the trail to this point is gong through the crack in a huge boulder, down a little bit of a slide, hanging from a laurel bush and dropping to the floor of the small canyon. Piece of Cake! I did it and I am older than dirt.
Camp Creek, the end!.jpg
Should have called this Lost Creek2216 viewsAfter leaving the Freewill Baptist Camp (really niece folks) the creek suddenly went into a spring??? After becoming acquainted with all the down pines on the mountain side we blundered into where the creek disappeared into the ground, yep, just soaked in the ground. This is not a trickle but, a pretty good creek and it went underground to the spring. footnote: Only springs I saw in the Coast Guard ere made of metal.

Top Of Squibb Creek Falls lower falls **2363 viewsLou and I took the hike up Squibb Creek after a night of heavy rain. If your thing is creek crossing this is for you.

The round trip is about five miles and with the water level high and a trail not much different than the creek, a grand time was had by all.

We found getting to the bottom of the falls, with the high water, was a little risky hence the top photos.

I recommend this trip just for the fantastic cascades below the Falls.

Dry2445 viewsDon't drive to Big South Fork to photograph this falls unless there has been significant rainfall.

I would classify this as a wet weather falls.

That said, Needle Arch is just down the trail, less than half mile.

Squibb Creek Upper Falls **2331 viewsThis seems to be the upper most falls on Squibb Creek but, that could be a geriatrics view.

Lets one practice creek crossing, if you like that sort of thing.

Dick's Creek Falls (lower) **2355 viewsThis Falls is one of the prettier small waterfalls in the area of Limestone Cove.

I only rate it as ** because of the two mile hike, one way, and the mud holes from vehicles.
