Ami and Shannon2001 viewsMost hikers know it is not so much the trail as those who hike the trail.

Shannon, on the left, is a Nurse Lou and I met descending to the falls at Glen Burney park in Blowing Rock, NC.

Reaching the falls is no "Walk In The Park" but, these two were so determined they brought along flash lights just in case of nightfall before completion.

ATTABOY, Girls. Keep in touch so we may hike again.

Steve2302 viewsSteve just became a crew member when he showed Bol"Dar an I how to get to Middle Flat Laurel Falls. He even took the time to make sure an Old Albatross reached the top of a difficult climb back up to the trail.

Next time we are passing through Asheville, NC and not having a near death experience with fatigue, we will stop by The Double Crown for refreshments.
