Another Pretty Face2327 viewsCould not resist photographing this little cascade just upstream from Bard Falls, located on the Mountains To Sea Trail.

If you have not hiked the MTS Trail, you need to. The trail is so well kept it turns difficult into "just plain pretty'.

Lower Little Lost Cove Falls2306 viewsN 36.02166 W 081.82910

I saw a description of this falls that nearly discouraged me from going here. Glad I did not listen.

This is a very high waterfall that, even in low water, is spectacular.

At the upper falls, use the trail and don't take a short cut down the Butt Slide like we did, an you will have no trouble down and back. It is quiet strenuous though.

Why I hike waterfalls2394 viewsThis pothole is the reason I came to Steele Creek, and why I hike waterfalls. They are all different but, this one is downright strange and I will return for further exploring.Jul 04, 2012

I did come back!2440 viewsI don't like top down photos but, this one shows my destination, the rock where the water disappears.

My first visit was a flop. This time, with a little more experience
(how much more experience does a 74 yr old goat need) I made it to the top.

Broken Heart2391 viewsMaybe this falls should be renamed "Broken Heart". The pothole forms the shape of a heart, broken by the creek entering and leaving it.Jul 04, 2012
