Falls and Cascdes1921 viewsThe only difficult part of the trail to this point is gong through the crack in a huge boulder, down a little bit of a slide, hanging from a laurel bush and dropping to the floor of the small canyon. Piece of Cake! I did it and I am older than dirt.

Great Falls?1919 viewsThe power company was not generating so, the river was very low. I think this is the non-generating version of Great Falls.

Just below this is Twin Falls which had lots of water.

On High1917 viewsDon't let the description of 50 ft fool you. From this point it is abut 150 ft to the river level below but, the trail down in excellent.

With a little exploring and milling around plan on a four mile hike.

Trick1907 viewsWaterfalls don't really look like this. A local photographer is confident enough in his own work to share this trick.

Rotate the polarized filter for the least glare. Close the aperture as much as possible.(I use f-11) With the shutter speed as low as possible, (shoot for a full second if possible), start experimenting until you get just the photo you are looking for. I prefer mine a little dark so I can process them using Picasa 3. The silky look is directly tied to shutter speed and a cloudy day doesn't

Lower Puncheon Falls1905 viewsAs you can see Lower Puncheon is the remains of an old mill.

Tennessee has many of these old mills and I just wish spillways could talk.

Nose Shadow1902 viewsLooks like an animal emerging from the water with it's nose casting a shadow.

Kind of like cloud art? You don't see the nose shadow? Drop us a note and we will paint it red for you.

This is still not Burgess at it's best. Give it some more rain and it will be a tru beast.
