Our first English crew member2297 viewsWhat a delight! Gordon is a farmer from England and in very good shape. Hiked to Sill Branch and Pine Ridge Falls with us.

Not all Englishmen are from London. We have a lot in common, both being from farms.

First Trip 2291 viewsBJ made her first trip to the bottom of Linville Gorge. She sure was a great hiking pal.

Actually she had no trouble and we had energy to see the Plunge Pool.

If you are reasonably fit and visiting Western North Carolina, you should go down to the gorge. After the crowds go home and during the work week this is a wonderful place to sit in awe of what time and water has wrought.

Ami and Shannon2277 viewsMost hikers know it is not so much the trail as those who hike the trail.

Shannon, on the left, is a Nurse Lou and I met descending to the falls at Glen Burney park in Blowing Rock, NC.

Reaching the falls is no "Walk In The Park" but, these two were so determined they brought along flash lights just in case of nightfall before completion.

ATTABOY, Girls. Keep in touch so we may hike again.

Most Eastern?2268 viewsThis waterfall is located at: N36.60942 W081.67726 and I'll betcha it is the most Eastern Waterfall in Tennessee.

To qualify on this site it must be 8 ft high or more. Can you find one more to the East and still be in Tennessee?

My Iron Man Is A Woman2257 viewsMy Granddaughter competing and winning a local bike race.

She is my Iron Man (iron Woman) because she finished Iron Man Louisville.

A little more effort and she may be able to qualify as an "Old Albatross" crew member.
