Laurel Fork Falls, NC (2).jpg
Laurel Creek Falls *664 viewsLocals refer to this falls as Trash Can Falls, not because of it being trashy but, at one time there was a public dumpster nearby.

With that said, the day I was there was following a downpour of rain so the creek was muddy.

Middle Falls ***344 viewsThe middle falls on Flat Laurel Creek is a *** because of the descent and ascent from the trail. Done worse but, it can be tricky.
P1000971_1200x900.jpg
Steel Creek Cascades308 viewsUnable to reach the main falls due to water levell that prevented crossing creek. I will come back, prepared to cross the creek. Al alternate route, up the right side of the creek is not really an alternative unless you have a fondness for Laurel bushes, steep slopes, and leaf covered rock.

Dugger 4341 viewsThe water from between the crack,. lower down was not apparent with te naked eye.

The light was a waterfalls photographer's dream, dark.

Big Falls321 viewsMount Hardy Falls is measured at over 100 ft and even though it was a dry spell still had pretty good water.

Beware The Serpent608 viewsPanthertowns portal to the upper falls of Panthertown Creek is guarded by this Rock Serpent.

Legend has it that those who litter here should have the serpent to fear.(I just made that legend up)

Lower Panthertown Creek Falls358 viewsThe hike to the lower falls is pretty easy until the turn off below The Great Wall, then there is nothing that can be called a trail, just a few faded ribbons and a few clips.

This 0.2 mile bushwhack through a recent controlled burn I would rate difficult for those not accustomed to Bushwhacking.
