Almost Top2409 viewsIf one looks very carefully there is another top part of Toms Creek Falls in thelaurel bushes.

This makes Toms Creek Falls measure more than 100 ft tall.

Lower Panthertown Creek Falls2409 viewsThe hike to the lower falls is pretty easy until the turn off below The Great Wall, then there is nothing that can be called a trail, just a few faded ribbons and a few clips.

This 0.2 mile bushwhack through a recent controlled burn I would rate difficult for those not accustomed to Bushwhacking.

Lower Little Lost Cove Falls2408 viewsN 36.02166 W 081.82910

I saw a description of this falls that nearly discouraged me from going here. Glad I did not listen.

This is a very high waterfall that, even in low water, is spectacular.

At the upper falls, use the trail and don't take a short cut down the Butt Slide like we did, an you will have no trouble down and back. It is quiet strenuous though.

Hiker photo2408 viewsIf it were not for a graduated neutral density filter this photo would be a white out. I am a hiker that takes photos.

Fall Colors2408 viewsFall colors can be seen up on top of the falls. With a little assist from the Roaming Knob the laurels parted for this photo.

Top falls at South Harpers Creek2406 viewsDue to brilliant Sun these photos were difficult, even using filters.

I plan a return trip with better skies.

Lower Dismal Falls2402 viewsI should not go here but, I did.
DILL_FALLS,_NC_1_1208x800.jpg
Dill Falls2401 viewsI give Dill Falls a ** because of the final 0.1 miles down to the base of the falls. Very steepbut, with trees and laurel to hold on to. Coming back up that slope, best way you can.

When you come down the forest road proceed past the "y"where NF 4663B and NF 4663A fork, stay on the left fork or 4663B, until you reach N35.28349. W082.94353. On your left you should see a trail with a "jeep trap".

Take that trail until it runs out, about 0.3 miles, then veer slightly to your left and follow the falls soun
