Fizzz2367 viewsThis one is on Mineral Creek. Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, just South of Craggy Gardens, along Stony Fork Road

Photo perfect, cloudy day. Picnic right beside the creek with BJ after which we sat off up the creek. All these cascades and a beautiful falls are easily accessible for even a novice hiker.

Bottom Of Bowl2367 viewsThe bottom of South Harpers Creek Falls takes on the appearance of a giant stone bowl with one side torn out by nature.

Due to the steep descent to this area I rated it a *** (3) in difficulty. Not a place to go in wet weather.

Cascades plunge2359 viewsUpper Creek Falls is located just off NC 181 about halfway down the mountain between Linville and Morganton.

Definately worth the drive fron Tennessee. The "Lower" part is lots of cascades followed by the Big Falls above.

The hiking family2358 viewsThe longer I hike the more I realize the scope of the hiking family.

I am about forty miles from home and find a friend from church.

He showed us how to go up the right side of the falls, safely, and complete the trail loop. He is a through hiker of the AT.

Big Falls2352 viewsMount Hardy Falls is measured at over 100 ft and even though it was a dry spell still had pretty good water.

This is a MST trail falls and is not hard to get to but, has some laurels and of course slick rocks.
